Blurring The Lines is the official CAST Fishing Co podcast, hosted by CAST Co-Owner Ryan Hanks and CAST Founder Mick Guthrie.
CAST Fishing Co was born in the States by blurring the lines between traditional and modern fishing, freshwater and saltwater, Australia and America, and this podcast dives deeper into the people, stories, products and ideas behind that wild journey.
Each episode brings together anglers, creators, guides, product testers and characters from inside the CAST world to talk fishing, gear, technique, travel, business, product development and the mindset that drives the brand and our personal fishing journeys to new heights!
From early CAST stories and behind-the-scenes product testing to the lessons learned from fisheries on opposite sides of the world, Blurring The Lines is about looking at fishing differently — and finding better ways to catch more and bigger fish of all species. We get asked all the time what our favorite style of fishing is and the answer is always the same.... ALL THE FISHING!
We trust you will enjoy this look behind the curtain, subscribe to our channel and share with your friends!
Episode 2: For Episode 2, Ryan sits down mid-road trip with CAST hammer Brody Robison — one of the most exciting young anglers coming through the American Bass fishing scene.
Brody is a Bassmaster College National Champion, a University of Montevallo graduate, and the Bassmaster Opens Division 2 Angler of the Year for 2026. He is now pushing through the Bassmaster EQs with his eyes firmly set on earning a place in the 2027 Bassmaster Elite Series and literally punched his ticket to the 2027 Bassmaster Classic with yesterdays win in the Bassmaster College Classic Cup!
Brody has been part of the CAST family for the last few years, and we’re incredibly proud of what he has already achieved. Humble, kind, generous and fiercely competitive, he is exactly the type of person we love having around the brand — good on the water and even better off it. In this episode, Ryan and Brody talk through the next phase of Brody’s fishing career, lessons for young anglers trying to make their way, life on the road, tournament pressure, and what it takes to keep improving at the highest level.
They also get into one of Brody’s favourite CAST baits, the 4.5" Nova, and why it has become an absolute must have in his fishing arsenal.
Episode 1: Ryan sits down with long-time CAST stalwart Franco Curotto — one of our brands American OGs (and just happens to be a master of the CAST OG too) as we cover Franco's CAST origin story, his involvement with CAST and spill a bunch of juice and thoughts around the final testing of our new 10g OG, soon to be in production!

I have to admit that I was skeptical that the color would work in the ponds that I fish due to the water clarity but no anymore. Rigged Texas or wacky it catches fish.
Great quality, color options and sizes. These fall trout haven’t been interested in my typical presentations, but have been absolutely crushing these!! Some of the hottest action and biggest fish of the year! So glad we gave them a try! I’ve already bought 4 more packs of them!
I live on one of the best spotted bass lakes in North America, Lake Lanier. Every time I have asked Ryan for any tips on what bait to pick and how to use it, his info has been spot on, LiTERALLY. CAST's baits are versatile no matter where you live or whether you are going after largenouth or spotted bass. The thing I love the most about CAST is the research and development they do for kake that have herring. The colors, the action, everything is perfect!
Super fast shipping. High quality products. And they have a true desire to see people catch fish. They build a community and a family! I’ve seen Ryan take care of someone who had an issue without the person even asking. Additionally, during multiple recent buying sessions I found the shipping to be incredibly fast. You won’t find a better brand to support who also support you
Just wanted to say thank you for what you did for me personally!!! I will not forget it. I look forward to the up coming products. Brian from Trinity Alabama
Ryan replied to my question on a post quickly and then private messaged me answering all my questions. Not only that, but he then allowed my son and husband (and me) to call him and he gave us the best advice! We can’t wait to try all the tricks and some new baits!! Thanks again, Ryan!
