After discovering a few videos on the CAST braid, I decided to try to get away from coarse braid once and for all. I had always been a straight fluorocarbon guy but became increasingly frustrated with the memory issues. This line is the smoothest and cooperative line I have ever used. Casting distance is incredible. I had an issue with my braid to fluro knot breaking. One after another. I eventually went straight braid to the lure and had the same issue. One email to the company and the owner was on the phone calling me! Seriously? He was on vacation and wanted to help me through the issue. Right there was enough to make me a customer. Now, just because this is braid, doesn't mean you can just slam down a knot creating heat. I never expected that from fluoro and you cannot with this line. Cast is a Lamborghini line, you need to pay attention and do it right. Just take time and don't treat it like an old Buick. I tied my favorite knot VERY SLOWLY, wet the knot and pulled away. After slicing my hand I realized that knot did not and will not fail. Yes, this line is expensive but my time on the water is worth it. I have never fished with a line like this. Thanks Ryan!
